KIMBERLY AKIMBO features Tony Award-winning book and lyrics by DAVID LINDSAY-ABAIRE (Rabbit Hole), a Tony Award-winning score by JEANINE TESORI (Fun Home), choreography by DANNY MEFFORD (Dear Evan Hansen) and direction by Tony-nominated director JESSICA STONE.
Kimberly (Tony Award winner VICTORIA CLARK) is about to turn 16 and recently moved with her family to a new town in suburban New Jersey. In this “howlingly funny heartbreaker of a show” (The New Yorker), Kim is forced to navigate family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush…and possible felony charges. Ever the optimist, she is determined to find happiness against all odds and embark on a great adventure.
VICTORIA CLARK (Kimberly) is the Tony Award® Winner for Best Leading Actress in a Musical! She has packed a lot into her brief teenage life. Her first Broadway job was understudying in the original production of Sunday in the Park with George in this theater 37 years ago. Since then she has starred in 11 Broadway shows including The Light in the Piazza (Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Awards), Sister Act (Tony, Drama Desk noms.), Cinderella (Tony nom.), Gigi (Tony nom.), and many Off-Broadway plays and musicals including Atlantic Theater’s production of Kimberly Akimbo for which she garnered the Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle Awards. TV: Pose, The Blacklist, Almost Family, Homeland, and One Royal Holiday. Clark is also an avid educator and director. Her second solo disc—, a reimagining of Maury Yeston’’s acclaimed song cycle December Songs- expanded for 40-piece orchestra and conducted by longtime collaborator Ted Sperling- is due for release on PS Classics this fall. JUSTIN COOLEY (Seth) was nominated for the Tony Award® for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in Kimberly Akimbo. He is also the recipient of Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Antonyo nominations as well as a Theatre World Award and the Clive Barnes Award in recognition of his performance as Seth in last season’s Off-Broadway production. He was part of the 2021 National High School Jimmy Awards and was featured as a finalist. Justin hails from Kansas City, Kansas and is thrilled to be making his Broadway debut.

OLIVIA ELEASE HARDY (Delia): Prior to the off-Broadway production of Kimberly Akimbo, Olivia toured with the First national Tour of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical as “Duckling Donna.” Kimberly Akimbo is Olivia’s second professional show and her Broadway debut. Originally from Southern New Jersey, Olivia attended the University of Michigan to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre.

MICHAEL ISKANDER (Aaron) Broadway Debut! Michael is an Egyptian-born actor. He won The Spirit of the MACY Award for Best Actor in 2019. He also won the special recognition scholarship at the Jimmy Awards in 2019. Michael thanks his family (especially his mother) and the many people in his life supporting him everyday.

COLLEEN FITZPATRICK (Standby for Kimberly). Colleen is a Broadway veteran and vocal performance coach with over 30 years experience in theater, film & television. Her New York credits include revivals of Follies, Sunday In The Park With George, Company, Bye Bye Birdie, and 110 in the Shade. She has also appeared in the original Broadway casts of Cats, Into The Woods, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, Passion, Lestat, and Road Show (Public).
Colleen is proud to have traveled the country with leading roles in national tours of Into The Woods, Hello Dolly! (w/ Madeline Kahn), Follies (Los Angeles) and as Donna in Mamma Mia! in the #1 Tour. Additionally, Colleen has performed in Merrily We Roll Along, Do Re Mi, Strike Up The Band, & Call Me Madam for City Center Encores!. Other cherished highlights: Mother Courage & Her Children (performing & standby for Meryl Streep) at the Delacort Theater, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk & Les Troyens for the Met Opera as well as Anyone Can Whistle, South Pacific, Sondheim! The Birthday Concert, and A Sondheim Celebration, all at Carnegie Hall. Her onscreen appearances include major motion pictures such as “The Mambo Kings,” “Liar, Liar” & “Naked Gun 2 ½”; appearing in many soap operas along with multiple “Live from Lincoln Center” performances that continue to be shown worldwide.
Fun Fact: prior to her theater career, Colleen was the frontman in the very successful regional rock n roll band ‘Games’ in Los Angeles for years and whose one album is still appreciated in Europe & Asia. She was Miss Teenage America 1972.

JEANINE TESORI (Music) has written a diverse catalog for Broadway, opera, film, and television. Along with Missy Mazzoli, Ms. Tesori is one of the first female composers commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera. Her musicals include Fun Home (Tony Award, Pulitzer finalist); Soft Power (Pulitzer finalist); Caroline, or Change (Olivier Award); Violet; Shrek; Thoroughly Modern Millie; Twelfth Night. Her operas include Blue (Libretto, Tazewell Thompson); A Blizzard on Marblehead Neck (Tony Kushner); The Lion, The Unicorn and Me (J.D. McClatchy); and the upcoming Grounded (George Brant). In addition to her work as a composer, Tesori is the founding artistic director of New York City Center’s Encores! Off Center Series, a lecturer at Yale University, and most recently the Supervising Vocal Producer for Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story.
DAVID LINDSAY-ABAIRE (Book, Lyrics, Original Play) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, screenwriter, lyricist, and librettist. His play Good People premiered on Broadway and was awarded the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, The Horton Foote Prize, The Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, and two Tony nominations. His previous play Rabbit Hole received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, five Tony nominations, and the Spirit of America Award. David also wrote the book and lyrics for Shrek the Musical (Jeanine Tesori, composer), which was nominated for eight Tonys, four Oliviers, a Grammy, and earned David the Kleban Prize as America’s most promising musical theatre lyricist. David’s other plays include Ripcord, Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Wonder of the World, and A Devil Inside, among others. In addition to his work in theater, David’s screen credits include his film adaptation of Rabbit Hole (starring Nicole Kidman, Oscar nomination), Dreamworks’ Rise of the Guardians, and The Family Fang, among others. He is also, along with Tanya Barfield, Co-Director of the Playwriting Program at the Juilliard School.

JESSICA STONE (Director) worked as an actress on and Off-Broadway, in television, and in film before transitioning to directing. Her directing career began in earnest with her all-male 2010 production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for the Williamstown Theatre Festival. She has since been directing all over the country at such theaters as The Old Globe, A.C.T, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Huntington Theatre Company, Two River Theatre Company, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival, among others. Productions include As You Like It, Kate Hamill’s Vanity Fair, Barefoot in the Park, Dancing at Lughnasa, Bad Dates, Ken Ludwig’s Robin Hood! (world premiere), Ripcord, Bad Jews, Arms and the Man, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Charlotte’s Web, June Moon, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Absurd Person Singular.
